HIGHLIGHTS

The Working Islands system is an innovative concept which restricts replacement to the site where procedures are performed.

The system reduces the size and weight of parts, thus making prices more affordable and replacement quicker, enabling more students to perform procedures within the same timeframe. Additionally, all parts have a layer of artificial skin that realistically responds to handling, cutting and suturing.

PROCEDURES

Each Working Island has its own features that follow the different layers of the human body, thus enabling the practice of different procedures.

Single-use part (one per student) made of skin, subcutaneous layer and a deep membrane corresponding to the cricothyroid ligament. The blunt dissection facilitates individualization. It is used for cricothyroid puncture and then for surgical cricothyroidotomy.
It mimics the thickness and resistance of this site. One single part can be used to perform the procedure up to 4 times (4 students per part).
Single-use part made of skin, subcutaneous layer, muscle and more deeply it has a membrane corresponding to the parietal pleura. The blunt dissection enables a resistance feel and sound effect that are similar to real.
It mimics the thickness and resistance of this site, which is square-shaped because of the xiphoid appendix that is used as a landmark for puncture. One single part can be used to perform the procedure up to 4 times (4 students per part).
Single-use part (one per student) made of skin, subcutaneous layer, muscle and a deep membrane corresponding to the peritoneum.
